Mobile Money and payments firms to develop new payment opportunities for businesses

Monitise plc (LSE: MONI), a leading technology and services company that delivers mobile banking, payments, and commerce networks worldwide, and mobile payments provider eMerit Solutions announce today they have entered a partnership to develop new mobile payment opportunities for businesses.

The partnership comes as Monitise executes on its strategy to help financial institutions defend and extend their role in payments at a time when cash is increasingly becoming digitised via the capabilities of mobile banking, payments and commerce.

eMerit allows businesses a unique and secure way to process card payments from their customers at the point of sale (POS). The technology enabler provides highly secure Chip+PIN mobile acceptance solutions along with a wide range of additional services that are fully compliant with leading payments network guidelines, making it a compelling proposition for businesses of all sizes, particularly the smaller business market.

eMerit Solutions Chief Executive Tim Corke said: “With Mobile Money innovation and business banking demand growing by the day, we are delighted to be working with Monitise. Our smartphone and tablet-based solutions help support businesses that need to take payments quickly and easily in store and on the go. This means that businesses of any size and type can enhance their cashflow and cut administration costs by processing payments instantly, securely and simply.”

He added: “Whether you are in business by yourself, building your brand or running an established network of businesses, our point of sale and card payments solution allows businesses to accept payments from any location. By working together with Monitise, we are delivering an unmatched best-in-class offering to businesses. This is a very exciting time in Mobile Money and we are proud to be innovating at the forefront of mobile technologies.”

Monitise Chief Commercial Officer Lee Cameron said: “We are delighted to be working with eMerit to develop secure new solutions that leverage the capabilities of mobile technology to further enhance the experience for businesses, while continuing to maintain the Chip+PIN experience and overall security benefits. This partnership represents a natural extension of our very successful development of SME Mobile Money services utilising smartphones, apps and tablets.”

eMerit already provides its payments acceptance solution to multiple channels including mobile network operators, banks and acquirers. Its services can be fully integrated into an existing POS system and support all types of card payments, including those involving on-screen signature simply by using the existing smartphone or tablet connection.

Monitise’s Enterprise Platform has been developed to deliver bank-grade integrated and scalable Mobile Money solutions that embrace all devices, operators and networks.

IMI is proud to announce, that after a 14 month beta, we have released our proprietary "news" "Content Marketing" platform.   In short, IMI will  build an enhanced "Search Engine Optimized/Marketing" (SEO/SEM)  "breaking news" website around your industry's  keywords for your vertical/niche.
Our platform will send our "trained"  "NewsBots" to scour the web (once an hour 24/7/365) for specific keywords.  Once our NewsBots find a breaking news story containing the keyword(s), they send it back to our servers which then reformat the story into a Drudge Report styled (but better) post.   We not only include the Title, Photo, and a direct link to the original content provider.  We include: Credit to Author, a 25 word blurb/preview, and other stories surrounding said keyword.  Because our platform does this every hour, 24/7/365, it gets noticed (Big Time) by the major search engines quickly driving traffic to your news site in droves.
We can provide "targeted traffic" to any vertical, any niche, any subject.  Visit Near Field Communication News or take a look at the "Breaking News Site" we built for the NBA's Miami Heat at NBANewsHeat.com  Other examples include: NFLNewsBears.com & NFLNewsPackers.com.  In 3 short months, we've seen traffic grow from 900 in Month One to over 10,000 by Month 3.  So, in a very competitive marketplace (Profesional Sports) in the Big 4 (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL) featuring the most popular vertical (Miami Heat) here's how we perform after only 4 months:
